Research:

I am particularly interested in the treatment of sleep disorders, especially in the treatment of insomnia. I use behavioral data and electrophysiological methods to investigate the effectiveness of non-pharmacological treatment programs and to find out in how far sleep can be improved by different interventions. Progress in this area has implications for the treatment of sleep disorders and can help to identify so far unknown underlying mechanisms. A further area of interest of mine is the development and the evaluation of digital treatment alternatives.
