Christoph Lindinger has been pursuing a teacher training degree in “Geography and Economic Education” (GWB) as well as “History and Political Education” (GPB) since 2022. Since 2023, he has been working as a certified tour guide for the permanent exhibition “Idyll and Atrocity” at the Obersalzberg Documentation Center (Germany). He has also conducted various climate change workshops on behalf of the State of Salzburg. Additionally, since 2024, he has been actively engaged as a youth minister for children and young adults at the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Linz – Inner City.
He has already contributed his academic expertise to collaborative projects within the Department of Social Geography: this includes developing scholarly contributions and the digital interface for the exhibition “Stadtdessen” (a joint initiative with the Sculpture Department at the Mozarteum University) as well as curating the StoryMaps for the digital expansion of the Ebenau Mill Trail. Starting October 2026, he will support the department as a student research assistant.
Research Interests
- Critical urban geography and spatial inequalities, with a particular focus on hostile architecture
- Geomedial education, including platform-based and AI-supported learning with (geo-)media
- Contemporary history and spatial concepts of the Weimar Republic and the National Socialist era, with a particular focus on the language of National Socialism
- Outdoor museum curation and educational concepts in public spaces, alongside contemporary geography
