Notes to availability
We would like to point out that no guarantee can be given for the availability of UBSearch due to unforeseeable events (e.g. urgent maintenance work, primarily on weekends, IT infrastructure failures) outside the opening hours of the University Library.
- Dunning fees resulting from network or other technical problems (which in many cases are not the responsibility of UBS) CANNOT BE CANCELLED!
Regular system maintenance processes with different running times are primarily carried out on weekends between 23:00 and 03:00. Unscheduled maintenance will be announced in a timely manner.

Note regarding reminder mails:
The reminder e-mails are a voluntary service of the University Library and are intended to help you avoid missing loan deadlines. The University Library cannot guarantee the safe and timely delivery of e-mails. You are responsible for meeting your own loan deadlines. For this reason, we must charge fees for overdue loan periods in all cases (regardless of whether or not you received a reminder email).
Since the primary means of communication for loan transactions is via email, please make sure that you have an up-to-date email address in your library account in your own interest. Changes of the mail address (please with a copy of a photo ID attached) can be requested via mail to or .
