Joint Degree Bachelor Program Molecular Biosciences – Studieneingangs- und Orientierungsphase (STEOP)
Introductory and Orientation Phase (STEOP):
The Bachelor’s degree programme in ‘Molecular Biosciences’ includes an Introductory and Orientation Phase worth 9 ECTS credits in the first semester. The Introductory and Orientation Phase consists of the following modules:
- Module: Introduction to Molecular Biosciences 1.5 ECTS
- Course: Introduction to Biophysical Chemistry for Molecular Biosciences 1.5 ECTS
- Course: Genetics 3 ECTS
- Course: Microbiology 3 ECTS
- Course: Laboratory Safety 1.5 ECTS
- Course: Cell Biology 3 ECTS
- Course: Biochemistry 3 ECTS
Before the Introductory and Orientation Phase is fully completed, students may undertake further modules totalling a maximum of 21 ECTS from the 1st and 2nd semesters.The completion of modules and examinations that are not part of the introductory and orientation phase and that exceed the 21 ECTS limit specified above is conditional upon the successful completion of the introductory and orientation phase.
