Short CV

Samar Shehata studied Education at Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, specialising in identity research, intercultural competence and communication. She also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (with distinction), focusing on family, childhood and youth. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Educational Sciences at PLUS. For the past three years, she has been working as a parent, family and parenting counsellor and is active as a lecturer and trainer in various institutions and schools, including ZEKIP, SALK and Team Vielfalt. Furthermore, she is involved in several networks in Salzburg, where she contributes her expertise in supporting families and (expectant) parents and helps to develop needs-based support services. By combining her academic training, practical counselling experience and her work in diversity-oriented contexts, she brings well-founded perspectives to the field of migration and education research.
