Basic Training for General University Staff

With the start+ programme, the University of Salzburg offers a structured basic training framework for new members of the general university staff. The aim is to provide you with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for daily university operations. This modular training programme combines legal foundations, organisational know‑how and hands‑on competencies – from IT infrastructure and self‑organisation to communication and data protection. The programme is complemented by workshops focusing on personal development and the strengthening of social skills.

In addition to the extensive internal training programme, the University of Salzburg also supports staff in attending external training courses. Subject to internal agreement, the university may cover the costs of selected external training activities – a strong commitment to supporting individual development and lifelong learning.
