Basic Training for Academic Staff
WiMi curriculum
With the WiMi Curriculum, the University of Salzburg provides a structured basic training programme for academic staff (doctoral researchers) in their first two years of employment. The goal is to convey essential competencies for research, teaching and academic development – well‑grounded, practice‑oriented and forward‑looking.
Supported from the Start
PraeDoc Professional Programme
For academic staff (doctoral researchers) in their third year of employment, the University of Salzburg offers a targeted professional development programme. Its aim is to reflect on individual career perspectives within and beyond the university, plan strategically and foster development in a focused way. The programme is delivered by Staff Development in cooperation with the Career Center and the Doctorate School. Das Programm wird von der Personalentwicklung in Kooperation mit dem Career Center und der Doctorate School durchgeführt.
Engaged in the Middle of It
PostDoc Professional Programme
The PostDoc Professional Programme is designed for academic staff with a qualification agreement (QV) who are preparing for future leadership responsibilities in research, teaching and organisation. The aim is to strengthen key management and communication skills required for participating in organisational processes and assuming leadership functions at the University of Salzburg. Interested PostDocs without a QV may also participate if capacity allows.
