Funding

Open Access publishing of research publications is supported by the University Library as follows:

Open Access publishing agreement

Licensing agreements are in place with renowned academic publishers, which enable heavily discounted or free publishing in hybrid (subscription journals with open access option) or pure gold journals (fully open access journals).

Publication fund

Funding for gold journals (fully open access journals) is available via the University Library’s Publication Fund.

Due to high demand the Open Access Publishing Fund is already exhausted for 2023 (as of August 2023). Applications will be accepted again from 01.01.2024.

Open access publications under publishing agreements (except Frontiers and MDPI) are not affected.
