Your Study Requirements at a Glance

Curriculum
 

Students must complete 78 ECTS of compulsory courses delivered as lectures, labs, or seminars, alongside a 6‑ECTS Transdisciplinary module addressing socio‑ecological crises and 6 ECTS of free elective courses.

In addition, students undertake a 6‑week internship worth 9 ECTS, typically completed with an external organisation, and submit a 1‑ECTS ePortfolio together with their Master Thesis.

The programme concludes with the Master Thesis, its accompanying colloquium, and the final examination—amounting in total to 120 ECTS credits.

 

 

 

 

 

Information for current students: The 2016 Curriculum >Applied Geoinformatics curriculum (>English translation) was in effect since 2016, therefore referred to as the 2016 curriculum. Students who started with the 2016 curriculum can either switch to the new 2025 curriculum or finalize their study program according to the 2016 curriculum till October 2027.
