My research focuses on how individuals assign moral consideration to non-human animals and what factors influence their decisions to adopt a vegan lifestyle. I am particularly interested in the cognitive and emotional mechanisms that shape openness or resistance to such choices, as well as how advocates for animal ethics can communicate effectively. Drawing on threat-response frameworks, I investigate these mechanisms and empirically test different communication strategies. The research is also relevant in the context of the climate crisis, as increased adoption of plant-based diets is considered one of the most effective levers for achieving environmental goals.
