Research: In my research, I am concerned with the effects of psychological threat on (inter)group processes. Of particular interest to me are the influences of identity and emotions on human behavior. I investigate these in the context of current political issues such as migration and xenophobia. In this context, my research is also about finding ways to reduce fear and hatred towards other groups.
